100 Tourbillons The 100 Tourbillons pays tribute to one of the greatest and oldest horological inventions created by man дус the tourbillon complication. When it was conceived around the 18th century by Abraham Louis Breguet, the tourbillon was considered to be a tour de force for its ability to enhance accuracy of time by defying the law of gravity. Three centuries on, the complication continues to be respected and held in high regard by collectors and watchmakers as a hallmark of watchmaking virtuosity. With the advancement of computer technology, the tourbillon has evolved into a multi-faceted mechanical masterpiece that includes traditional tourbillons, multi-axis tourbillons and flying tourbillons. 100 Tourbillons is a careful curation of some of these horological wonders. 100 Tourbillons is organized into four distinct categories namely Core Tourbillon, Multi Tourbillon, Tourbillion with Complication and Jewellery Tourbillon. The line-up includes a range of tourbillons that have broken new grounds in terms of technical mastery and honoured with awards and accolades such as the A. Lange & Sohneду»s Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, Audemars Piguetду»s Millenary Skeleton Tourbillon with a baguette setting that was specially produced for this event, and the piece-unique Girard-Perregauxду»s Golden Bridge.
